Who would actually like that? Yes he's a klutz and often very embarrassing but Goofy is utterly devoted to Max in the best possible way. Yes it would take some getting used to but I could think of far worse things than having Goofy for a father.
"My best friend was born in a manger!"

"Klutz"? "Embarrasing"? You're putting it lightly! He's a danger to himself and everyone around him! I know it's a cartoon with special rules of physics, but characters in this universe
can
die (which is why
MAX
is so scared when
GOOFY
falls down the waterfall). Also, it would be one thing if he humiliated himself, but he also humiliates
MAX
without knowing it.
I could think of far worse things than having Goofy for a father.
Are you by any chance a parent? That's usually the excuse they give when they do something wrong to their kids. Of course there can always be someone worse (
GOOFY
isn't abusive, a criminal, etc.), but that's no excuse for the things he does. Actually, by saying that, you're setting the bar very low for him.

Goofy is that kind of dad you're glad to have later in life but embarrasses the crap out of you when you're younger.
I could see where the younger Max would have issues relating to him.

I am sure there are dads like Goofy in real life,I would not mind having a dad like him, a lot of these dads on shows and movies seem weird but very likeable too

Agreed, of course it would be embarrassing at times but I always thought it would be neat too because he did care about Max and he was fun.
