I watched this movie earlier on AMC. I hadn't seen this movie in years and I remember loving Zip back when I watched this movie as a kid. Zip was a great animal character in the movie and I loved how the young Indian girl bonded with him.

I've never forgotten this amazing dog. After I saw this film I made a promise I would name my next dog Zip. He truly was a full-fledged character in a film with so many fascinating characters.

So, why do you love Zip so much? I mean the dog was a good trained actor and all, but what was so special?
I have seen the movie several times, and my dog likes Zip to. She actually watches the movie, at least some of the different animal scenes. She used to do this more often with some movies. Now she doesnt pay that much attention to the TV. We live where there are real animals, and I am always at least a little careful with her when we are outdoors. She knows how to guard, protect, and mostly just alert. When we used to watch TV together, in movies with wolves etc, I taught her an expression they are just TV dogs. She pays attention to Zip though!
