Hi, ok I saw this movie a while back, and have always remembered it because of Drew's wonderful performance. I am currently writing a screenplay about a family (who's parents have both died years before) living in a small town in Georgia. One of the central characters has manic-depression, and I am trying to learn all I can about the disease, which includes watching films with characters who suffer from it.
Does anyone know of any other movies that deal with a character with manic depression? So far, I can only come up with the following films..
Blue Sky
Introducing Dorthy Dandridge
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolfe
The Hours (just for Nicole's character)
Mad Love
Lust For Life
Cobb
Mr. Jones
Does anyone know of anymore films? I would greatly appreciate it.
Johnny: Jerry Lee, does your mama know you're out?
Jerry Lee: She knows, she knows.

Try Benny and Joon. They never say exactly what's wrong with her, but I believe she's manic.
What did you do, Ray?
