I have loved this movie ever since I was a little girl and felt this movie was more empowering than the films with an actual female cast. Anyone else feel this way?

I loved the movie, and miss Patrick Swayze every time I remember he's gone. But I guess he's never really gone.

I watched it last night and loved it! The three characters all meant something different in life, but I have to say that Chi-Chi was my favorite! I laughed just about every time he was on the screen except for the tense moments of course.

happened to watch it tonight (been craving it and forgotten I'd found the DVD on sale somewhere).
I love this movie, it's light, but it also says a lot about women.
I never found the comparisons between To Wong Foo and Priscilla to be fair. Priscilla is definitely a film about being gay. To Wong Foo is a film about what it is to be a woman. At least, that's how I see it.
A minor detail that bugged the hell out of me in Priscilla was the "instant" costume changes in the middle of a song. The film was going for a slightly more realistic take on an already pretty surreal topic, but then throws in a lot of production numbers with impossible costume changes.
To Wong Foo delved into its subject matter without having to insert the grand musical numbers.

I was re-watching it last night and actually found myself getting emotional at the end. I don't know why it took umpteen views for it to hit me, but better late than never, I guess.
