How would the world be different then? Would Deacon rule as a tyrant from Everest and Dry Land or would they quickly overpopulate that little island and start building a lot of ships to fish?
Seems like Deacon and his crew could have easily found the Dry Land in due time and rebuilt the Human Race in large numbers, wouldnt be a very nice place to live but Humans would be thriving, anyone that didnt meet their standards would be exiled to the ocean or killed.
Could easily have ended with Deacon and his people figuring out how to find the Dry Land first and getting there, then exploring using the island as a launch point.
