Are there any good ones besides Dragonslayer?
Well, I mean, I like Dragonheart and all, but it's not really a "good" movie.
Would The Hobbit count as a dragon movie?
You'd feel cocky too if you were full of myself.

Well, this is actually an anime series, but The Record of Lodoss War has some of the scariest dragons I've ever seen. Mind you, I've never actually watched the series, but the red dragon looks terrifying in pictures already. It looks far worse and monstrous than any live-action dragon ever did, not to mention it has more fangs than a shark and it's the size of a mountain (he would dwarf even the dragon from Reign of Fire; then again, Super Robot Wars has a robotic dragon that's 8000 kilometers long, soooo).

Yeah, if they had made Reign of Fire like the poster (several helicopter gunships vs many dragons) it would have been awesome.
We can all agree that Dragon movies aren't the best, some are decent but none are considered a 'masterpiece'.

A dragon is a cool concept, but it's hard to make a good story surrounding it.

Oh please, Reign of Fire is far worse than Dragonheart.
I have to agree that Dragonslayer is the only good dragon movie out there.
Eragon had great potential to be a fantastic trilogy, but sadly suffered thanks to an incredibly bad screenplay and even worse directorit flopped.
Why they put such a big title (was back when the book was a best seller) to a first time director is beyond me.

Now that I've seen it I'm glad I didn't go see it in the theater. The ticket money would have been wasted. I'm sorry it's such a stinker. I'm always willing to like a movie with dragons in it, but this was no good. And it's a shame, because the premise was promising. A waste.

Agreed, dragons are cool but they have such gay movies where they are treated like fairy tales. They had really cool effects plus sean connery's voice and this is what they did with it?
