I wanna know how the hell they managed to keep them in place as they tooled around in that Buick convertible ! I don't think I saw one raised hand attempting to keep one from flying off - and there were 4 of them !

I agree that the hats in this movie were beautiful.
I adore hats. Of course, no one makes you wear them but, like shoes, they can update an outfit. I would think that men would love them because, discouraged from wearing make up as women do, hats can improve one's looks. How about Tom Petty? He should not leave home with out a hat.
I think movie makers love hats because they can create a character, like Popeye Doyle's too-small hat in The French Connection. Actors must love them because they can convey emotion. How about all of the ways Frank Sinatra wore his hat?

The hats in Mulholland Falls were made especially for the film by Dave Brown of Rochester, New York. He is one of only a handful of custom hat makers in the U.S. and creates authentic period hats for motion pictures. He also created the hats for "Goodnight and Goodluck" , "The Aviator", "Road To Perdition", "Chicago" and many more.
