There is just no way all of this happened.
Maybe some boys really did do an almost deadly prank with a stolen hot dog cart and were sent to juvie where they were abused by guards.
But that is where the truth would end.
Revenge stories like this do not happen IRL and even if it did, the priest and the DA would both be in trouble.
It is a good work of fiction and does put a different spin on the revenge story.
