I have to write a paper for religion class about the film Spitfire Grill. Unfortunately, since we had a sub for two days during the film's duration, no one in class paid attention and instead, constantly chattered. So since I couldn't hear the film, I have no clue what exactly happened for 2/3 of the movie. I need to answer the following questions in my paper:

The film has a lot of Christian symbolism, how can the role of Percy be seen as a Christ-like figure? Why? What are some other Christian symbols?

The film deals w/ powerful themes of redemption, hatred, compassion, independence, and to some extent female empowerment. Elaborate on these themes.

How was the town powerfully redeemed through the actions of Percy?
I really need a lot of help here and they don't have the film at my local blockbuster so I'm not able to just rewatch it. Thank you!
