I have a whole list of "bad" movies that I like (for various reasons)
This one tops them all. I think The Stupids is by far the best bad movie ever made in recent years.
The acting is lousy, the plot is horrific, the premise is ridiculous, but for some reasonsome sadistically unknown reason.it's entertaining!
Almost every joke is delivered with excellent precision, even for a bad movie. This family is sowellStupidthat every far fetched statement they make leaves you in tears.either from laughter or pain.
Sure, there are several parts that are drawn out too far, and those are the truly bad parts of the film, but for the most part, I almost think the writers knew what they were doing and ran each horrible joke for a short enough time period that we (the audience) didn't get "sick" of it before it ended.
This is one of those movies you should rent if you're stressed out beyond the point of rational thought.
Just sit back, relax, turn off your brain, and laugh yourself silly
My final rating. One out of four stars from a critical standpoint, but an 8/10 from an entertainment point of view.
Beware the Drive B! Any error you have with it might be fatal!
