I mean I think it would have been great, it probably would have brought some more Beavis and Butthead fans to the show.

Disagree. They didn't need to be in an episodehowever, they should have been mentioned, and they never were. It's always been my perception that they influenced part of Daria's cynicism and mentality. Part of the reason she saw the world as being shallow and idiotic could have been directly connected to her early dealings with them. And when she was on B+B, she actually spent a good amount of time with them; enough for them to be considered significant parts of her backstory. It wouldn't have distracted from
Daria
at all, if she had at least casually remarked about those two ever-laughing idiots she went to school with before moving to Lawndale.
The lack of acknowledging Beavis and Butthead, as both the root show and as significant influences of Daria's psyche, IMO, was nothing short of snobbish on the parts of the writers and producers of
Daria,
and did the character a disservice. Daria didn't become "Daria" just because of the influence of, and her reaction to, Jake, Helen and Quinn. "Diarrheacha-cha-cha" contributed to the color of her personality too, IMO.

I would have to say.
NO!
While Beavis & Butt-Head was "OK Only" in my book, they would have ruined Daria. I can't say I hate B&BH, as if it didn't exist, we wouldn't have the awesome Daria!
Leave Beavis & Butt-Head to the mind numbers, and leave Daria to us!
By the wayI HATED the Super Nintendo Beavis & Butt-Head game, despite the good graphics!

I would have loved to have seen them. I don't know what they would have been doing in Lawndale, but a brief guest appearance would have been a lot of fun.

"Beavis and Butt-head" and "Daria" are apples and oranges. In fact, Daria may be one of the best TV spin-offs of all time, because she stood on her own feet, and the show didn't have to constantly remind people of what show it spun off of. The tone was different, the humor more intellectual, and it was really a product of its time. That's why people who say Daria should make a come back are mistaken. The show was perfect for the late '90s, early 00's era, when the world was a different place. The show and characters were reflective of those times. They couldn't duplicate that NOW.
However, they COULD do a next-generation type thing. If Daria had a kid of her own. Said boy or girl would be a product of today's age, someone upbeat and liberal. You know, a damn millennial. That P.O.V. versus the cynical look some people had in the late '90s. However, maybe that concept should be entirely original and not branch off of this series. Otherwise, it would appear to be a cash-in.

I agree. I am glad Beavis and Butthead weren't on Daria; I could not stand that show!

Daria had to stand on her own. And it actually worked very well, since I don't think many people realize this is a spin-off of Beavis & Butt-head.

While I agree I'm surprised they didn't sneak a background cameo for the duo in an episode or something.

Agreed. I never cared for Beavis and Butthead but adored Daria. I could handle Hank Hill. B & B had no reason to be there anyway since Daria moved to Lawndale.
