12 Years a slave is not even a good film. In fact, it is a mediocre to bad film.

12 years a slave is a great film, it really pulls you in and gets your emotions fully involved

Couldnt agree with you more, it is an excellent film.
I very much enjoyed Amistad. But in my personal opinion, Amazing Grace, is a more complete story. Complete in the sense, this is where abolitionism, actually began.
Also the reason why abolitionists in the film Amistad, would sing this hymn.
