<p dir="auto">In 1839, president Van Buren is on the campaign trail for the 1840 election. Which is ridiculous for 2 reasons</p>
<ol>
<li>Presidents didn't campaign in person the way they do today back then</li>
<li>Unlike today campaigns didn't last an entire year.<br />
That was the first of many historical inaccuracies.</li>
</ol>

<ol>
<li>This wasn't a documentary</li>
<li>This wasn't about how campaigns worked in 1839</li>
<li>They didn't interrupt the plot and spend valuable screen time to explain it since it wasn't important to what the movie is actually about.</li>
