Jaws worked. So did The Birds. A movie doesn't have to suck just because it's about killer animals.
True. This movie is kind of off-putting mainly because of the acting, possibly the plot as well. Of course, it doesn't help that the CGI didn't age too well. The practical effects were excellent.
