My daughters are 3 and 5 and love faeries but I'm wondering if anyone could recommend this for their young age? I saw it when my sister was 6 and I was bored out of my mind. (I was a teenager though and barely remember anything about this movie except that I didn't like it.) Do you think they'd like it or is it too slow with too many humans to captivate their attention?

I was about six when it came out and I really enjoyed it but then again it's all a matter of opinion. The two little girls are the main protagonists so kids shouldn't have too much of a problem appreciating it. If they like fairies then give it a go
I'm gonna die of long hair!

I haven't watched this movie since it came out on videotape, maybe 1998 or 1999, I was 5 or 6 and loved it, I watched it many times. As I said, I haven't seen it since then, but I know I enjoyed it as a child

That's what's odd about this movie: it was made for families, but I don't think kids would really relate to it. I saw it in theaters when I was 6 and was bored; watching it again, I still found it rather dull, though the Houdini/Conan Doyle stuff I find somewhat interesting now.
