<p dir="auto">He is one of my very favorite actors, a huge talent, but at the end of this movie when he comes out on his new porch, dances a little jig, and sings Kentucky Waltz, it is a revelation. I had no idea he could sing like that.<br />
I have seen this movie a TON of times (NEVER gets old), and that little scene always moves me to tears (in addition to the following end credits with the black and white portraits of real miner's faces, and their families.</p>
