<p dir="auto">I think it's a cool scene that kind of steals the show.<br />
In the middle of all that extreme masochistic training mess, time stops for a second and she shows up to examine the soldiers/candidates.<br />
Surreal in a way as some kind of "angel in white", an aristocratic-like highly capable and professional medical expert among the rookies and idiots.<br />
Her character is minor, but very well written one IMHO.</p>

<p dir="auto">Actually the instructors themselves checked on the trainees especially after an incident like that big metal drum rolling over them.<br />
They were some awfully tough instructors but they had no interest in anyone dying on them.</p>

<p dir="auto">I agree. It's one of my favorite parts in the film. Very nicely played and, as you describe, disorienting in the midst of all that intensity.<br />
