Mare Winningham certainly deserved her best supporting actress Emmy for her
role as Lurleen Wallace. (Anjelina Jolie was also great as Cornelia Wallace.)
Does anyone else agree?

I agree, Mare did an AWESOME job in this role and I think Angelina was very good too. Although, honestly, I think Mare should've won the Best Actress Emmy and Angelina should've won Best
Supporting
Actress - they were both important parts of the movie, but Mare, in my opinion, was on screen more, her role was more important, and she was billed second while Angelina was billed fifth.
I also agree with anthropo - Clarence Williams III should've won for Best Supporting Actor. His performance was heartbreaking.

Clarence Williams III should have been nominated for Supporting Actor for playing "Archie."

Everyone was very good here, but did anyone feel the Southern accents were a bit overdone? How about a lot overdone? Angelina Jolie, a fine actress normally, especially overdid it in my view. I wish this came with subtitles.
