Out of all the films I've seen from him so far(Gravity, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, A Little Princess, and this), I gotta say, this one is probably the worst. The story is just so undercooked and underdeveloped, the characters and romance have zero depth, the music was occasionally jarring, and Ethan Hawke gives a remarkably bland performance in the lead. Based on general consensus and my own personal opinion, it seems like this is the only Cuaron film that is genuinely bad so far.
