He had plenty of opportunities. Seriously. The secont Stella walked in the scene I was looking for knives, scissors, guns, anything. Near the end of the film I thought "Oh! He's gonna strangle her in front of the kid!" but no, the mouse turned into a pussy!!!</p>

Why!?!? You don't know it's a modern adaptation of the book from mr. Dickens (one of the best writers in England)??? At the end of the book they don't end up together but they are at peace with eachother. No matter how many times she hurt him no good person would do such a thing as killing somebody just because this person hurt him emotionally.<br />
There's also at least one adaptation in which they probably ended up together. For example 2011 BBC's tv mini-series.<br />
Say whatever you want! It's your opinion and it's Your Right! But respect theirs.</p>
