Well the original stories are dark.especially the very first version of Snow White where it was her real mother who wanted her dead and even when it was the stepmother it was still scary
So this is more true to the essence of the story. The more kid friendly ones are actually diluted version so they did not just make this film to shock. They were basing it on the original interpration

The truth is the grimms fairy tales were dark. They collected them all from mostly the German villagers. The stories were told to scare children into obedience to their parents (there's a heavy theme of being industrious with chores, not allowing strangers in the home, being wary of strangers) and also to entertain. The stories were like what TV is today to the people who told them. This movie is actually a bit closer to the original story of Snow White then the Disney version is. Yes the Disney version is cuter and better for kids perhaps but the fact is this movie is closer to what the original was like.

I honestly can't tell if you're being serious or not. How old are you? I'm sorry, but that's just weird if the thought of people dying makes you have "a special tingle down there". That's just sick. I just looked at your posting history and basically every single thing you post has to do with you thinking movies should not be made because of violence, horror, swearing, sex, etc. You do realize that Hollywood will not change the way they make movies because YOU don't like certain things? Stick to children's movies since you can't seem to handle much else. Come to think of it though, many children's movies have some form of violence as well. Does that offend you too? If you read the original fairy tales by the Grimm Brothers, etc. you will see that they were not intended as children's stories. They are very dark cautionary tales. Many of these tales are readily available online. They don't have the happy endings that the beloved Disney movies give these stories. Hans Christian Anderson's 'Little Mermaid' has a tragic ending much different from the Disney version as well as 'Little Red Riding Hood' being a cautionary tale for young women with the Wolf symbolizing the sexual urges of men, and red riding hood symbolizing a girl entering womanhood.
There are many people that actually enjoy the darker versions of these stories. If you don't like scary movies, why would you watch a film called 'Snow White: A Tale of Terror'? It's obvious from the title that it's not going to be a tame children's movie. Everyone has different taste in movies and books. If horror is not for you, simply don't watch it. As far as kids seeing movies like this and getting scared, my opinion on that is the parents should monitor what their children watch. I wouldn't let my young daughter watch this movie or any other movie geared toward adults. If these movies cause you to lose sleep, maybe you should stick to the Disney films. I do hope that you can someday enjoy the original tales though. They are quite interesting.
