This is a sweet little film. I got it for 5 bucks at Wal Mart, and then read the ratings I highly expected this film to suck. It's not a perfect movie, but it's sweet and has a lot of heart.
So he didn't really work for Bayou Beavers? - Hatchet

Seriously, this movie is GREAT. The character relationships are heartfelt and realistic and each one adds something different to the film. It's a well-written film and really well done, very endearing.

It's a good chick flick with a lot of heart. I don't understand what people expected

I agree. I'm kind of surprised by the 5.4 rating. I'd give it a 7.5, but since that's not available, I gave it an 8. The actors all did a good job, and it has a nice message. We all go through hard times in our lives, but we have to find a way to pick up the pieces and rebuild. I saw this movie when it first came out and then didn't see it for years. I kind of forgot about it, until my roommate rented it one night. I watched it with her and I remember how great it was. I just bought it on amazon
