Actually if we consider that Ms Bujold was covering her own age, or attempting to mask her age by telling Ms Spelling's character that the twins had "belonged to each other for some 20 odd years", (an insinuation that they were in their 20s when the double entendre is that they had been coupled for 20 odd years, then Anthony could have been the son of the twins-takes the whole dysfunction to a new level.
Not sure why the pictures were gone but it definitely added to the creepy tone. If pictures are hidden before someone new arrives it definitely makes a statement.
This movie is worth more than one watch of course. I am imagining that Jackie O did not shoot her brother a second time at the end-I am going to pretend that Lesley just walked in on them a second time and it drove her out into the street.

I was waiting for that revelation at the end of the film when they're discussing children with webbed feet.
In real life, Parker Posey is 12 years older than Freddie Prinz Jr. If they played the gap a little wider, it wouldn't be unheard of even if they left it at 12 it wouldn't be unheard of.

But if she meant "had" in the sexual sense, that could mean that they were actually in their 30s and Anthony could be their son.

Nah there is no way he could be there son. Just watched the movie and when the mom is tell Leslie that she should just leaves she mentions that Leslie had Marty for 6 months but Jackie and Marty had been together for for 20 odd years. Leslie respond and those were odd years or something to that effect.
So, Anthony is for sure early 20s I would say so its impossible that he his their son.

Yes, I got that feeling early on. But nothing ever came from it, so I guess not.? Not to mention Tori Spelling saying 100x how he looked so much like martybut again, it was never brought up really.

That night takes place 20 years after the assignation of JFK.
I believe it said they were around 14-15 when the home movie was taken.
They were obviously intimate when the home movie was taken (& possibly for some time before that?)
It was taken around the same time JFK was killed right? (Memory is a little foggy even though I just watched it)
So that would put them around 34/35 in the 'present'.
As for Anthony, he could be anywhere from 18-22, he says he is younger than 23
& 18 is young enough to go & drop out of college.
35-18=17, lets say she got her period at 13, so I guess it is plausible unless Anthony is older then 22.
I will say though that anyone who uses him not being as smart as Marty or Jackie as a reason it may be true that I don't think that's a plausible reason. In cases of Inbreeding there are rarely mental or even physical signs of it until later pregnancies, (I.E: A woman has 5 inbreed kids, the 5th will probably have multiple signs, & the amount of signs would be increasingly less as you went back in the kids) Besides, he wasn't THAT dumb, a little insecure maybe but dumb no, remember on the bed he used a big ol' word that lesly was stumped on (her character seemed a bit dumb though so I guess it wouldn't be hard to stump her)

I thought that for a brief moment myself. Anthony makes a comment by the piano "everything fun happened before I was borned," and Jackie and Marty share a suspicious glance. The fact that he says "borned" and not "born" makes you giggle and think, gosh this kid is dumb.. and well, he might be if he was the son of incestuous parents.. other random clues suggest it is possible, but I think it is unlikely. Just another layer of the twisted story. When Anthony tells Lesly how he got his scar Marty and Jacky gave it to him while playing that type of behavior would be more like older siblings bullying a younger one, probably not something they would do to their son.

What part of the movie do they say they're 20 something? I assumed they were in their mid 30s. If Anthony was in his early 20's then it wouldn't be that much of a stretch.

How in Gods name could you even think that?? Jackie/marty were stated as being 20-odd years old. lets say they're both the max, 29 years old. anthony just left college. are you saying they had sex at age 9? and had a kid at age 10?

I don't think Anthony was actually 23. Because after Lesly remarks that she thought he was younger, he admitted he was. But then which is the lie and which is the truth? So who knows how old he actually is?

Assuming that Marty and Jackie were in their mid 30's and Anthony was in his early 20's, it may be possible. But I could be wrong.
