Did anyone seriously like this movie? If so, please describe to me what you liked. I'm having trouble appreciating it, much less liking it.

I was disappointed that the script treated what might have been an hilarious, twisted and sexually-charged human trainwreck as a lukewarm parlor game devoid of menace or sensual sizzle. Parker was vaguely amusing, but everyone else phoned this one in. Meh.
I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really.

I thought it was okay, but no great thing. I had a difficult time appreciating it because of the substandard performances of Tori Spelling and Freddie Prinze Jr. And especially that of Josh Hamilton, who played Marty. He was so plain, bland and uninteresting that I couldn't see how anyone would be interested in him.

IMO Parker Posey makes any film she's in worth watching. And if you're already into Posey, this is a must-see.
Most surprising aspect of this film for me: Spelling and Prinze, usually terrible, deliver fine performances here. Particularly Spelling.

I love wordplay type jokes. So, for me, the dialogue is to die for. I'm in histerics laughing the whole way through the movie just loving the twisted dialogue. Also, I like dark humour, so the combination makes it a favourite comedy for me.
You're not from Pennsylvania, are you? That may pose a problem for some people's enjoyment of the film.
You don't think I'm crazy?
No, I just think you're spoiled.
Oh, pulease. If people are going to start telling the truth around here, I'm going to bed.
You can quote Dr. Spock from now till doomsday, but children just happen. This one has blue eyes, that one's insane.
Anthony got a new jacket and I went to alot of trouble to get sane, so you see, you can't leave. Lesly, on the other hand, is free to go at any time.
Anthony, not five minutes ago, you swore to me you'd always be honest with me.
I lied.

dark comedies arent for everyone. you have to have the right sense of humor to appriciate and enjoy it.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have an after-funeral party to attend.

I "seriously like" this movie. The performances are great, but the script is what is the most intruiging. It's multi-layered, puzzling, and "discussable". Read some of the discussions about this film they are varied, intelligent and never clear-cut. There is a lot in this film on the surface and beneath it.
