it's so natural and real and takes its time. he needs Lawrence Bender as producer again to get back down to earth. he hasn't made a decent film since Kill Bill. his best is this one and Reservoir Dogs, then Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, and the rest are awful.

I must respectfully disagree.
I think
Pulp Fiction
is his best followed by
Reservoir Dogs,
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,
and
Kill Bill
. I saw
Jackie Brown
, and I honestly can't remember a single moment of the film. Obviously it did NOT impress me.

It's an excellent movie and I would almost go as far as to say that it might be THE Tarantino's movie which feel the less as a Tarantino's movie.
I disagree with you about Tarantino's movies though, I thought they are all outstanding except Death Proof, which is okay.
Pulp Fiction is still my favourite.

I thought Jackie Brown began his descent in quality. It isn't his worst, but it might be his least impactful on culture. You never really hear about it. Without it being a Tarantino movie, I doubt it would be much remembered.

Jackie Brown
is a classic, and is one of the best movies ever, and definitely one of his better ones. But I'll stand alone and say that pretty much anything he puts out, I tend to enjoy.
Jackie
is in a level by itself.
Huge props go to the
lovely
and
stunningly divine
Pam Grier for bringing her majesty to this movie. A lot of the film comes down to her being perfectly cast.
I'm a big fan of Bridget Fonda ever since
Point of No Return
and
Road to Wellville
(which was bizarre and weird and twisted and sick and sad, but mostly weird),…so her role as Melanie, while small, was done convincingly. Just a small part of a basic stoner. And Jackie's line delivered in the clothing dressing room as she's passing over the bag of cash, that she "put a cherry on top" for Melanie.
Little details like that. I'll also admit a very big and very soft spot for Pam Grier!

Definitely QT's most mature film. He should do more adaptations of other people's work. A lot of the reason this movie is so good can be attributed to the source novel by Elmore Leonard.

I agree. There's something different and warmer about Jackie Brown. The characters are more real and more relatable to than in his other movies.
