When Devon's mother was interrogating her about Trent's gift of the turtle, she said something like, "grown men don't just give little girls turtles for no reason." Devon is completely clueless, so the mother explains further, and just when you're expecting her to give Devon the talk about predatory men, the mother comes out with:
"Next thing you know he'll be asking your father for a job!"
It cracked me up.
