<p dir="auto">I agree. I liked his performance a lot. I haven't seen the other film adaptation. But for some reason, and this may sound odd, I wasn't grossed out seeing Irons portray Humbert. The subject matter of the film is already disgusting anyway, and I thought I wouldn't be able to watch it because of that, but Jeremy Iron's performance made me watch the movie until the end and actually gave me chills.</p>
