Thomas Newman's music is beautiful. Really sad that such a great score was 'wasted' on such a mediocre film like this.

I agree that the score is fantastic, but I feel that it was not edited properly for use in this film. There are so many times, watching the film, when the score is overly dramatic and sentimental for the tone of the scene.
In numerous places, it feels like the music that begins playing at the Oscars to usher off an award-winner who won't leave the podium. It feels like such a wasted score! Also, perhaps it's just the Netflix version I'm streaming, but the sound mixing was not well done on this film. I find that that the score is too loud and the dialogue is too quiet, so I can never quite hear some of the lines.

The musical score is profound and it fits the film perfectly, especially in the third act.
But personally, I think the film is far from mediocre.
