I don't think so.
I don't believe 1 person can only fall for 1 type of person. You could tell Claire really liked the man she met at the coffee shop. She even said to him that what he said to her was too perfect, it was scary. They both really hit it off, I don't think it was only about looks.
You can tell her feelings changed when she got to know the man who showed up after the car accident. She didn't really like him anymore, but then eventually she fell for him again. I think her feelings for him from the beginning added to falling in love with the new man.
That doesn't mean she can't fall for the original man again. She very well can since they liked each other in the beginning.
