American Psycho 2 come on guys you forgot about this abortion (certainly when compared to the first movie).
This movie is like having Carlito's Way Rise to Power be the sequel to the Godfather.

A lot of good suggestions here, lots of sequels I'd totally forgotten about because I'd burned them from my memory as a self-defense mechanism.
But to be honest, there are 2 sequels that were so heinous, so soul-destroyingly awful that I will be stuck with memories of them til the day I die even if I get Alzheimer's.
One is Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. In my opinion, this isn't just the worst sequel of all time, it's the worst movie of all time, and the fact that it's not on the Bottom 100 list is, frankly, mind-boggling!
The other - which I'm surpised hasn't been mentioned yet - is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze.
I heard TMNT 3 was pretty god-awful as well, but I never watched it. TMNT 2 ruined the Turtles for me and officially killed my childhood (and I still think it's a better movie than MK:A).

ya i really hated what they did with rayden, i mean, it was already bad enough that they made him look like a beggar with long white hair, and now in the middle of the movie he cuts his hair and is all jumpin around doin flips???? WTF

It's certainly one of the worst.but Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Next Generation is worse. Also the first Mortal Kombat was pretty crap itself.

I'll admit it, this movie is bad on ice. But it could have been much, much worse.

hmmm i just watched this again today and it aint half bad,canon characters..good fighting scenes,good beep special effects,over all good

This is, by far, the WORST sequel I have EVER seen. I would prefer the sequel to Universal Soldier, in fact, I didn't mind that.
The special effects killed this movie for me.

not sure if its the worst sequel, but i do remember that it was great when i was only 12 years old when I saw it but I do also remember that I was mortal combat fanatic back then hehehe didnt really know what a "true" film was have to see it again, but it probably is the worst film ever

I'll agree to that. Also, Back to the Future 2? Are you guys insane? You go back in time and remake that film, but better? You can't do it can you? And that's why They have the flux capacitor, and you don't. haha
Don't knock the B.T.T.F. series, they were all good for their respective times. Mortal Kombat 2 however. I'd rather watch the cheesey television series than endure that steaming pile of crap again. It was entertaining when I was 16 and there was nothing on at 2:00 in the morning. Far better than the film. Even the soundtrack couldn't save that movie. However the soundtrack for MK1: one of the best of the 90's, hands down!

Godfather 3 (its better than a lot of other crap that's out there, but it was still a terrible sequel. Especially following up two of the greatest films of all time. That's what makes it even worse)

Uggh. I never understood the hatred of Chronicles of Riddick. I love that movie and thought it was better than Pitch Black even. Just my opinion. But I'll admit that the prison idea was totally stollen from Star trek 6.

Robocop 2 was damn awesome.
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation was even enjoyable for the kitsch factor.
The worst sequel of all time was American Psycho 2. Hands Down.
