no it was really that bad, and this coming from someone who played MK throughout childhood and loved the first movie

You crazy Holmes this movie sucks more then church and I'm a MK fanboy, bad acting bad CGI the story was some type of MK2&3 abortion. Oh and let's not forget how Mr.kahn was portrayed as a bald guy who failed out of the power rangers acting acadmeny, and lastly this isn't a martial arts movie, the fighting in this movie was closer to You Got Served style dancing then real fighting. Funny how they took all the good aspects of the first movie and said beep it there is no room for anything good here

For me, it was watchable thanks to the fight scenes. No, they weren't as memorable or as well-made as those in the first movie, but they were fairly entertaining for the most part. Having said that, I can see why this movie gets a bad rap.

The first film is so much better, though. Expectations were massive for "Annihilation", and the film was so ridiculous on multiple levels. A lot of fans - myself included - felt insulted by the result, to the point that a planned third film was stuck in development hell for nearly a decade before dissolving completely. A planned reboot by WB has been in the works for some time, but its been suffering lots of creative problems as well.

Its in the top ten worst movies ever let alone video game movies. I thought it was unwatchable personally. Hey if u liked it, good. Im glad you enjoyed it. Great thing about movies, their subjective.
