<p dir="auto">I get the sub zero brother thing, but Scorpion definitely exploded in the first Mortal Kombat film. So what was the point in even explaining a new sub zero when they just bring Scorpion back with no explanation.</p>

<p dir="auto">Like others have said he was already dead.  When he dies he goes back to the MK version of Hell.  So he can just keep coming back.  Kind of like Kenny.<br />

<p dir="auto">Actually, the canon MK storyline explains that better than the movie does. In the original storyline, Scorpion is already dead. If you watched the first one, you'd have noticed Scorpion's head was a skull. That's because he's already dead (note his 'blind' eyes too).<br />
So yes. Scorpion is dead, he was dead in the first movie too.
