I've owned this film on VHS for years and recently purchased the DVD but a few seconds of footage seems to be missing.
The actual neck snap of Johnnie Cage was not there and a few seconds were missing from Mileena's death - Sonya flips her to the ground and then you see her roll over, whereas on the VHS Sonya gets down on the floor, grabs Mileena's arm and breaks her neck.
Everything else is intact, so why would they decide to cut this tiny amount of footage out? It's not like it makes any difference to the rating or the runtime, as it's literally only about 4 seconds of missing footage in total.

I have this film on HD, and I watched it now after reading your post. While the neck break of Johnny Cage is left intact, I couldn't see Sonya breaking Mileena's neck.

That's odd that your VHS didn't include those scenes, as my VHS of it has them - and it's definitely the UK release.

I got the VHS as well as the DVD in the UK and those scenes aren't in either, but bought the Region 1 DVD and it includes it. I saw it first first unedited on Television, i think it was channel ITV1.
