Producer Larry Kasanoff said in '99: "I would love to release a MKA Special Edition. I wish the version we release wasnt what it turned out to be. We were over-ruled by the studio (New Line Cinema) on MKA. To get approval for MKA:SE we would have more of the political crap to go through but we are still working on it and we hope to show you the film you guys would like to see"

The only way I'd watch it is if most of the "cheese factor" was vastly reduced, plus all the redundant characters like Ermac, Rain, Noob, Nightwolf, the Animalities, etc. Remove Sheeva as well, and do some CG on Motaro so he's more believable.

They would probably include more fight scenes, key-scenes and enhance many
of the visual effects. And of course, cut some of the stupid dialogue.

It would be interesting to see in some ways, but I don't see how you could make much with the movie. It was such an atomic turd of a movie. It truly performs a Brutality on anyone unfortunate enough to see it.
