Yeah and while they possibly could have gotten back through that door with the right tools and time, they were being attacked by the robot cadavers and had to keep runnin' & fightin'

The original crew did cut the power once but by the time the would-be salvagers realised they should've listened to the Russian science officer, it was too late because the alien force welded the door to main power shutguess it learned from the first time. Besides, it would've been a pretty short movie otherwise.

they had explosives and rpgs, should blown the door open, then the movie would have ended lol

The door that Steve and Squeaky went through to cut on the power was welded shut. They couldn't get back in to cut it off again.
