Sure, it's just Tom Cruise walking down a city street at night. I wouldn't think anything of it except they're both Tom Cruise and Kubrick cast Sydney Pollock, who directed The Firm, as Victor Ziegler. I was watching The Firm and the scene reminded me of Eyes Wide Shut.

Is there a specific Eyes Wide Shut scene that mirrors? It's been a while since I've seen it. I didn't pick up on anything on watching Days of Thunder. I did detect a slight Top Gun vibe though.

Eyes Wide Shut is Days of Thunder's shadow. Boom! Kubrick was very clever. At this point, I'm starting to believe that he had the system, ai, etc. behind him.
