I love this movie! When he is doing his nifty two hand drawing/poetry trick, he says that he used to make his friends pay six pence to watch this. So, according to google, they stopped minting six pence in 1980 which would be about right for Steven's current age but also allows for him to be much older. Does the book mention his history or how old he could be?
