In the book "The Wisdom of Crocodiles", it is somewhat unclear what everyone's fate is. I assumed that Steve caught his girlfriend cheating, and she was subsequently killed in a high speed car accident, dooming him to a certain death because he would not have time to culture another "victim".
Would anyone alse agree/disagree with this assessment?
