<p dir="auto">I was surprised it held up so well in these modern times and still looked good on the big screen. It's a fairly simple story, and better than I remember. Even Jar-Jar didn't grate on my nerves nearly as bad after all this time. Maybe he didn't get super annoying until Attack of the Clones? Obviously, having Liam Neesom in this one really classed it up, and probably the most interesting Sith ever in a Star Wars movie that isn't Count Dooku didn't hurt either. Of course, i'm talking about Darth Maul. It was quite ridiculous having Obi Wan cut him in half with such ease but whatever.<br />
It's no OT movie, but not as bad as I remember.<br />

<p dir="auto">It's main offense is how boring it is. There's so much time spent hanging out on Tatooine with little action and then there's some weird space trade embargo thing going on throughout the whole movie that no one cared about. It's better than the sequel trilogy at least.<br />
