In one scene in the movie, early in the film I believe, EVEN on the Blu-Ray, there is a shot of Queen Amidala looking out a window wearing an extravagant dress, and she is sort of sad that her planet has been taken over by the Trade Federation.
In that shot, she is wearing a dress with these lit up 'orbs' at the bottom, and if you look closer you can actually see the POWER CABLE that lights up those orbs, you can see where it snakes along the ground. So hilarious.

I have to assume that big mirror-finish space yacht that she escaped in is about 80 closet space.

Did you happen to miss the outfit she would have worn if she was not posing as a handmaid. The decoy Queen outfit is ridiculous,as she would I basically be a target. One aspect that did not make sense is how she managed to have a full wardrobe that was large enough to change into several times in a day every single day. How did she have it if she hadn't planned on fleeing Naboo.

I liked her idea of a practical battle outfit - a heavy velvet gown and an elaborate hairstyle.
