Duh, doesn't anyone who has ever seen parents and children know, it is a crapshoot whether kids are going to look like anyone they are related to?
Kids change. A kid can look like one person at 6 months old, and look like someone else at 3 years old.
Or, it can look like no one.

Most guests from this show would need to google the word genetics. Doubt it even pops up in a conversation.ever.

I fear some of the people on this show aren't educated in the complexity of genetics.

I don't see my husband
at all
in his own baby pictures! Some people change so much as they mature.
On the other hand, I look like me in my baby pictures, but I don't look like either of my parents! But I do look like a couple of my aunts on both sides of the family! The wonders of genetics.

Exactly right.
My husband's brother didn't look like anyone we ever saw. Until they found some pictures of the old relatives in Sweden, he looked just like people from the early 1900's.
People swear I am a carbon copy of my mother, unless they see pictures of my dad, then they change their minds, and say I am a blend.

Why does the baby always have to look like the father? My niece is a dead ringer for my sister in law.

Yeah it's ridiculous. especially when comparing to an infant. "That baby's nose looks nothing like mine!" Well yeah it's got baby features it doesn't really look like anyone. It's like they expect the baby to look like a carbon copy of them. But plenty of mothers see a whole bunch of features in common then are wrong. It's like all that pointing at pictures proves nothing.

Watching this show, it is clear how uneducated people are about genetics. Don't they teach about it in schools?
Also, something that bothers me as a black person is how many of the black guests on this deny babies because they are either too light or too dark. On the Trisha Goddards, she said that as a black British woman, it bothers her how there is a severe lack of education amongst African Americans with regard to skin color.
And don't get me started on the lowlives who say that they don't make sick babies.
Oh, and with mixed race babies, a large number of variations are possible. They can be light or dark or everything in between; you just can't tell how they will turn out.
