So, I was sick this morning, decided to stay home. Browsing through whatever is on in the day, and here is Maury.
The main feature today is a woman who is roughly my age, who has been on Maury 10 times. The previous 9 times were trying to figure out who the dad of her first kid.this has never been established apparently.
Now she has had two more kids and the paternity is once again in question.
Can this be real? That means for the first one, she screwed at least 10 different guys in a two week span or so.
I would be damned if I would go on TV and admit I was a big enough hose beast that I couldn't narrow down the number of guys who dropped a load in me to less than ten in two or three weeks.
So I am thinking, they're actors?
If not, God help these kids.

I made this thread a while ago.
http://www.imdb.com/board/10120986/board/thread/238874617
Also, I'm aware of other anecdotes.
I remember a clip featuring a woman named Monique. She had a daughter named Maya. The alleged father, Ronnie, and his girlfriend, Michelle denied that he was Maya's father. They claim that Monique claimed that she was pregnant for 11 months. Monique said that her doctor allowed her to be pregnant for 10.5 months because her daughter's lungs were underdeveloped. She also mentioned that Maya was a twin, and that her twin died. The test revealed that Ronnie was not Maya's father. Someone commented on the video that they knew the guests, and that it was all fake; Maya's father is Monique's husband, and Ronnie and Michelle were two people who wanted money. Also, Maya had since passed away, tragically. The commenter said that the video is funny, knowing that it is fake.
Another one was a guest named Loretta. Her story was that she had everything a girl could want: she was a cheerleader, a straight-A student, had 4.0 GPA, was on the National Honor Society, and she had early admission to college. Then she got pregnant. Her parents kicked her out, she was forced to drop out of school, and her boyfriend dumped her and denied paternity. She said that she and her boyfriend PLANNED her son. Her son also has serious health problems such as severe asthma, acid reflux, and will need to get stomach surgery. Her boyfriend denied paternity, claiming, as usual, that she was very promiscuous. The DNA results came back: NOT the father. Loretta ran backstage, but her boyfriend comforted her, and an update show showed that he stayed with Loretta, and was a father to her child. Someone commented on that clip, saying that this story was fake, the dude was the father of Loretta's baby, and that the baby had no major health problems other than asthma.
I also found this.
As for the question of whether the show is real or not: I think the answer is yes and no. Some cases are real, completely. Some are real, but they are exaggerated for the sake of drama. Some are fake due to the producers. Some are fake because the people wanting free plane rides and hotel stays, and so they contact the show with fake stories.

Thanks for the info, easjr1991 and Stigger. I rarely ever watch Maury, so I haven't seen any of the episodes you've mentioned. I used to really like Maury, back when I almost never had a chance to watch because I was always at work; back then he had a really interesting variety of guests and topics. I like Maury Povich, and it's pretty disheartening to see what his show has become. Of course I realize it must be raking in the dough, but I don't like it.

Did you happen to see the show where the guy claimed he wasn't the father because he had six (6) fingers on his hand? Well, for proof of his claim, he held his hand up to show the camera. Here's the problem: he didn't show the camera the palm of his hand with his fingers spread. Instead, he had his fingers close together and intentionally did not show his palm to the camera. As a result, the camera really only showed three fingers (pinky, ring, and middle) with the remaining hidden behind the middle finger. The guy tried his best throughout the show to keep from showing all his fingers, but he messed up. At one point, he raised his hand with his palm to the camera and his five (5) fingers were clearly visible. So while he is a real person, his story was clearly fictitious.

The people are real; their stories are not.
What proof do you have of this? Just wondering, as I actually don't doubt what you're saying, but I'd like to see some proof.
