I must confess with ignominy that before I viewed this film I had like so many other misguided philistines, considered the works of the likes of Kubrick, Goddard and Kurosawa as representative of the zenith of the cinematic art form..
How foolish I was indeed, for this film opened my eyes and showed me the true light! Hallelujah!
Simply put, this film changed my life in so many wondrous ways.
Colours now seem more vibrant, sounds are more harmonious and even my farts smell better since I beheld this wonderful spectacle!
