They have always had politics I don't agree with, but it used to be less heavy handed and actually funny. It was one of my favorite shows since I was like 10 or 11.
It's just become paint by numbers. Had a good run at least.
One of my favorite all time films is Ghostbusters, which has almost, but not quite heavy-handed fiscally conservative subtext. I can look past whether I agree with something to enjoy it.

South Park used to be an exception, and even then, they are/were never too conservative.
