Before we lose this wonderful board, I have just one more question.
There is an episode of some series (not sure if it's Outer Limits, Ray Bradbury, Twilight Zone or Amazing Stores (it has to be one of those right?)
A spaceship enters a black area of space. They locate another space ship and a man finds his brother on a ship (lost about 10 years or so). Seems he's a ghost but they can't find any peace. As a matter of fact the captain of the other ship says 'We can't even have the peace of the grave". or some such wording.
It seems there are aliens (ghosts ones I think) on the space ship too and at the end of the episode they get together with the aliens, they all boost their thrusters and they get out of the blackness. Someone MUST know what the hell I"m talking about. lol

Yes, I know! You know the rest.
Davenport's preferences are outstanding.

Yes, I know! It was an episode of the 1995 version of THE OUTER LIMITS, called "Dark Matters", season 1, episode 11. As you said, their souls could not even escape that area of space after they died, until they solved the problem at the end.
