It's because they would be wasting their premium content as counter programming. No conspiracy, just a bunch of companies coming to the same conclusion because it's common sense.

It's not a conspiracy. It's networks not wanting to compete with arguably the biggest game in the history of baseball.

I say it better that they didn't do a new episode, as if they did air a South Park episode it would be episode #7 pf a 10 episode season, and there would be only 3 episodes left. So Trey Parker and Matt Stone need to slow done a bit, if they are planning to have the season end in December like the last few seasons. The last season that they did 14 episodes a season where they started earlier in the year was season #16 in 2012. And I believe this is how long their seasons are going to be for the foreseeable future, as I don't see Trey and Matt changing the number of episodes again anytime soon. And so far until this week they only had 1 episode since the season started they didn't have a new episode. If they went the way they were doing it, they would have been done a lot quicker then the math of December arriving. And you also have to remember bit takes them 6 days to make one episodes, so that doesn't leave them a break in less they take a break and don't start making the next new episode after they finish the last one until they finish episode #10.

Please they're just being lazy these days.
