I seen a movie in the 80s, and I have been trying to find out it's name. My memory is sketchy, but it had several people going into a jungle-like setting, at one point they go into this "hut" (with low ceilings) and someone in that hut talked to them, and also showed them skulls, I think. I think there was also a scene involving a bus, and also maybe someone trying to escape on a river (I'm not thinking of Deliverance). I think the ending showed some kind of device that swung from a tree and maybe killed someone. Any thoughts to it's name? Is this the movie I'm thinking of?

You're thinking about Cannibal Ferox aka Make Them Die Slowly. It's about this group of college kids who travel to the amazon to do research and end up hooking up with these 2 bad guys who have already disturbed the natives. The natives go crazy and start to butcher and eat the kids. The ending sequence that you are speaking of is when the surviving girl is being led to safety by a native and he trips a boobytrap that sends a swinging spiked log into his body killing him. Sick and twisted horror flick but still cool to see. It's on DVD too, FYI.
