I love all the Scream movies, even 4.
But there's something about Scream 3 that makes it very rewatchable for me. Yes, it's silly and kind of a mess and the story gets convoluted and it makes little sense.
BUT that just makes it all the more fun to watch.
I don't know about you, but Scream 3 is perhaps the most rewatchable for me after the original. Maybe in a "so bad it's good" way, or a "guilty pleasure." Call it what you will, the point is this movie is very entertaining.

I haven't seen much of this one. Been watching some of it on TV lately. THis one is really funny. Parker Posey and all the other acctors from Stab are great. THe interactions between them and the people their playing are comedic gold.

My thoughts watching this are more just thinking "Poor Sidney. Can't she get a break." I just feel bad she has to go through all this again.

I thought Scream 3 is when this series stopped being about suspense and drama and started to focus more on being comedic. I find myself laughing more throughout this movie rather than being scared. Also, I didn't see Gale in this movie, I felt Courtney Cox was playing Monica from
Friends
a lot more.

For me Scream 3 is my favourite.
It has a killer, so to speak, opening with the always excellent Liev Schreiber. As his doomed gf Kelly Rutherford is a terrific screamer.
The Sidney scenes are always a joy to watch because of Neve Campbell. She is a magnificent actress and truly shines here.
Parker Posey is a genuine pleasure to behold. She raises her game to stratospheric levels and even makes Mrs Bing look good.
Scott Foley is a wonderful addition to the film. He's extremely insincere in his character which makes for a brilliantly hateful character.
Patrick Dempsey is delectable. And he's hard as nails. He's also sympathetic and a tremendously watchable hero.
And any film with Lance Henriksen in is a must watch movie.
Carrie Fisher is a living legend and here she rocks.
Emily Mortimer does a convincing American accent.
Jenny McCarthy has enormous hooters.
Deon Richmond is a hoot and a half.
All in all the film is quality entertainment.

That's why I like it more than Scream 2.
Scream 2 is way more plausible(but it's also very sloppy) but in the end it just bores the hell out of me.
I've seen all of them more times than I dare admit, but Scream 3 is the only one that holds me start to finish. It's frenetic.
Third times the charm.

I agree. It's one of those weird deals where you can easily spot all of the movie's flaws, but yet something about it compels you to still watch it and like it anyway.

Yes, it's silly and kind of a mess and the story gets convoluted and it makes little sense.
Those are the reasons I can't watch it. It's just insulting to the original, it's almost like a bad parody. The second had a messy finale, but it made up for it with suspense, good death scenes, a lack of infantile humour and interesting killers. Maybe if it hadn't been a Scream movie it could've been a guilty pleasure.
