The kills are idiotic. In 5 Dewey literally lets Ghostface stab him despite having his gun drawn. You cannot complain about “lackluster” when you have scenes like that. At least in 3 the victims actually tried fighting back or escaping,

The kills are lackluster and dull. Scream 4 and 5 are darn brutal in comparison. Don't get me started on the voice changer that can sound like anyone in 3. Pretty much ruins the movie.

Wrong, Scream 3 is still 10x better than those ****heaps known as Scream 4 and 5. At least 3 actually felt connected to the first two films and in the same general style with the whole meta-commentary and film within a film, plus the opening is great.
Also the kills are creative and gory, unlike the lameness of 4 and 5.

I’d believe that. I haven’t watched 3 in over 10 years. I remember the whole thing feeling like a stupid joke with not even one decent kill.

I thought that the 3rd Movie was okay.

I disagree.
Although I do like part 2, it was just a rehash of the first. With part 3, there was a particularly psychotic showdown, making it much different than the first.
