I have to admit that I like the original Loonette better, but this one isn't so bad. I think that the more she plays Loonette, the better she'll be. And I agree that people should just be grateful that Ramona stepped up to keep the character alive. And she is NOT ugly at all.

I agree with every thing being said here. Also how can one talk about someone being pretty or not when it comes to Loonette? The actress are under heavy clown make-up. I never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life. Some of these haters must of been audition rejects for the new Loonette and are mad because they didn't get the part or miserable adults who would not be happy if 10 million bucks was dropped in their laps, or children of these miserable adults.

Ive read the message were they said about bringing in a new character, but the reality is, if they had done that, im sure peiople would still be whining about it. Theyd say that its not loonette, so its not worth watching. Some people you just cant please. I know what you mean about people say shes not pretty, thast just harsh. Personally, I think Ramona Gilmour-Darling is gorgeous. Shes a very beautiful girl. Ive read people on here complaing about her mouth or her voice. Wowcome on. How pathetic is that??? I really wonder if some of these people who come here caliming to be 'parents', are just little kids, because that is sure how they act sometimes. Complaining about something that she cant control. I read some of the posts on here, and I am just amazed at the childish behavior displayed by some people.

I didn't start watching the show until recently, so I don't really know the old Loonette, but what do people really want? I can think of no better reason to get a new actress, that the old one now has a child of her own to take care of. I can understand not wanting a change, but at least they didn't fire the original. They're keeping it alive because it was a good kids' show and they didn't want it to stop. It's survived being canceled and losing its star and everybody has to complain about it. Ramona must know that 90% of the viewers of the old show will not accept her because some have been with it since it started more than ten years ago. Surely she has some big shoes to fill and nobody thinks she's as good at playing the part the way Alyson did and when she tries to be different they think it's worse. In another thread they were saying that they should have introduced her as a different character. I'm sure people then would have just complained about Loonette's absence and the new girl not being as good, rather than the new Loonette girl not being as good.
